Degrees of Difference

He replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." -Matthew 17:20 Isn't it amazing that just one degree warmer or colder water changes forms, from either frozen to liquid, or liquid to steam? Just one degree makes all the difference. This principle can be applied to our lives as well. What small changes can we make that will make all the difference? For me, if I wake up just 30 minutes earlier, it means I have time to write. For people trying to lose weight, it only takes eating 1 less thing in order to kick-start the weight loss process. For those who have trouble finding happiness in life, it only takes 1 shift in thought that can turn dissatisfaction into true contentment. What small things can you change that will make all the difference? Maybe it's listening to an audio Bible in the car before the rush at work. Perhaps it's calling a friend you don't see much. Or maybe it's getting some time alone to think and pray to God. Maybe it's telling someone about Jesus. Often our busy lives don't allow for many of these small encounters. Let God lead you in making small changes that can draw you closer to God and grow the kingdom. Sometimes a little difference can make all the difference in the increasing of our faith and furthering the kingdom of God.
